Our Certifications

As matchmakers we understand just how important a person’s personality is to their dating journey. We’re proud our Managing Director Michelle Begy has achieved MBTI and FIRO practitioner status.

Her knowledge of both tools offers an even more in-depth understanding of personality type and relationship needs, helping her to really understand what makes somebody tick and ensuring a finely tuned match based on their specific preferences.

What is MBTI?

The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) assessment provides a framework for understanding individual differences, preferences, and strengths. The assessment reveals how we approach the world and interact with others, offering insights in our personalities and the personalities of those around us. The assessment using four scales – introversion-extraversion, sensing-intuition, thinking-feeling, and judging-perceiving – helping individuals identify their preferences and sorting them into one of 16 different personality types.

Being equipped with a knowledge of their personality type then helps people gain a better practical understanding of themselves and those around them in a range of situations. It helps differing personalities understand one another better, providing an awareness of how we can flex our own style to improve communication and build trust.

What is FIRO?

The FIRO (Fundamental Interpersonal Relations Orientation) assessment offers insights into what motivates people in their interactions with others. Offered by The Myers-Briggs Company, the framework helps people understand what their interpersonal, expressed and wanted needs are and how these influence relationships.

FIRO offers a resource for coaching individuals about the underlying drivers behind their interactions with others, helping them to manage their behaviour to build effective relationships. It helps people recognise where they may be giving out mixed messages and supports them in working with those behaviours to build trust in their relationships. It also helps to reveal how people are perceived by others, and how this view may differ from the perception they have of themselves. This in-depth understanding of preferences can be invaluable in personal interactions and helps to provide tactics for developing stronger bonds between individuals.
